Join the Blue Star Families’ Utah Chapter for a special Sundance Film Festival screening of the feature film Shortcomings, directed by Randall Park in his feature directorial debut.**

This is an exclusive opportunity for Blue Star Families members. Due to the limited nature of this opportunity, registration is required to attend. (FYI - If you are not currently a member, registering for an event gives you Blue Star Families membership.)

Please note that the movie’s run time is 92 minutes. There may be an opportunity after the film for a Q&A with the director that has the potential to go until 12:45 AM MT. Once the Q&A is confirmed one way or the other, we'll update this event with the details.

Tickets will be available first come, first served, and will be limited to two tickets per family/household. Tickets will be available for pickup “will call” from Blue Star Families staff at the theatre prior to the screening time. Look for Emily outside the entrance to the theatre.

Please note: The process for signing up for our events has changed. Event registration now happens inside our new Blue Star Neighborhood member platform. The great news is, once you’re registered with us, sign-ups will be quicker and easier! If you have any issues, please CONTACT US.

**This opportunity is separate from Sundance’s Local Lens Program which offers free festival screenings to Utah residents. If you would like to learn more about how you can attend additional Sundance Film Festival screenings for free please see the Local Lens Information here.

About the Film:

Ben, a struggling filmmaker, lives in Berkeley, California, with his girlfriend, Miko, who works for a local Asian American film festival. When he’s not managing an art house movie theater as his day job, Ben spends his time obsessing over unavailable blond women, watching Criterion Collection DVDs, and eating in diners with his best friend, Alice, a queer grad student with a serial dating habit. When Miko moves to New York for an internship, Ben is left to his own devices and begins to explore what he thinks he might want.
