Once upon a wintry eve, Utah's Hogle Zoo transforms into a scene straight out of a holiday fairy tale, and you're cordially invited to be part of this enchanting chapter. Step into a world of wonder and merriment, where military and veteran families are embraced by the warmth of the season.
Under the soft glow of twilight, we embark on a delightful journey filled with laughter and adventure. Join in the spirited Reindeer Games, where your little ones can test their skills alongside Santa's trusted companions. Meanwhile, creativity will flourish at our craft station, where kids can pen their heartfelt letters to Santa, sealed with wishes and dreams.
As the night air takes on a gentle chill, you're welcome to savor the irresistible aroma of a Hot Chocolate Bar, where you can craft your own cup of velvety cocoa, crowned with marshmallows and shimmering sprinkles. And in the glow of a crackling fire, partake in the whimsy of a s'mores station. Here, marshmallows toast to perfection, and delightful toppings await to turn each bite into a mouthful of holiday delight. But there's more – delicious donuts that melt in your mouth are there to satisfy your sweet tooth.
As the evening unfolds, a hushed anticipation fills the air, for a very special guest is about to grace us with her presence. Mrs. Claus herself will gather us 'round as she weaves tales of the North Pole. But that's not all; what's a story without a plate of freshly baked cookies, straight from Santa's very own kitchen? These delectable morsels are sure to whisk you away to the wondrous land of the North Pole.
As the indoor festivities draw to a close, an awe-inspiring adventure awaits. Venture into the depths of ZooLights, where the animals slumber but the magic of the season shines bright. Stroll through a dazzling wonderland of intricate light displays, where animals and holiday scenes come to life before your very eyes. Wander down Gingerbread Lane, meander through the sparkling Peppermint Forest, and let the luminous beauty of the season captivate your heart.
But the climax of our tale has yet to unfold. Find Santa Claus along the way, spreading holiday magic and sharing heartwarming moments with children. It's a chance for your little ones to make cherished memories and share their deepest wishes with the jolly man in red.
This is a celebration tailored for our military and veteran families and is extremely limited. Families must register to attend and available spaces will be first come first served. Due to space limitations, only the Service member's or veteran's immediate family may attend. A strict limit of one registration per household.
Families will also receive a special gift from Blue Star Families and other surprises.
Please note that Utah’s Hogle Zoo is located just across the street from This is the Place Heritage Park which is putting on its annual Chriskindlmarkt - a free open-air holiday market inspired by the world-famous German Christmas markets. Make an afternoon of it by coming out early and visiting the Chriskindlmarkt in one conveniently located area before you join us.
There will be a waitlist for this event once it fills. Only register for this event if you are able and plan to attend. Those who no-show to exclusive events take the opportunity away from another family so please be considerate and let us know if you can longer attend by canceling your registration or contacting utah@bluestarfam.org.
